Network Clinical Stream Director I Priority Populations
Catherine has been a Registered Nurse for 20 years and has worked in various roles including: specialist, educator, and consultant with a particular focus on adolescents and mental health. In the last 6 years she has held a management and executive position at the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network. With her current role as Network Clinical Stream Director for Priority Populations, she is responsible for workforce strategy and service development, leads the development and implementation of business planning, budgetary oversight, and strategic clinical service planning that serves the vulnerable population group.
Team Leader of Safeguards Mental Health Response Team
Georgia is a Clinical Psychologist and has worked in the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network since 2021 with previous experience working in Out of Home Care, Acute Inpatient Units and a Child and Family Trauma Services. Georgia’s passion lies with working with children, young people & families who are experiencing multiple complexities and ensuring that they receive integrated, trauma informed care. She is currently the Team Leader of the SCHN Safeguards Mental Health Team who respond to children and young people in mental health distress. Georgia is the Project Lead for the Huddle for Change and has seen the initiative through its entirety.

About
Huddle for Change: An integrated response to young people experiencing psychosocial complexities in Paediatric Emergency Departments
The Huddle for Change aims to provide an integrated and collaborative care pathway for young people presenting with multiple and complex psychosocial needs. The Huddle for Change is a targeted Emergency Department initiative which brings together teams from Mental Health, Social Work, Drug and Alcohol, Child Protection and the Emergency department to plan and discuss a wrap around care plan that responds to the young persons needs. The Huddle for Change is an integrated, trauma informed and timely response by teams in order to improve referral pathways, reduce representations, and enhance outcomes for the young person. The presentation will outline how the Huddle for Change was implemented; data collected as well as key learnings from the initiative.
