Membership Benefits

Our members have access to a valuable range of services and benefits, including:

  • Benchmarking Programsupporting participating member services to optimise their care of children and young people by comparing a range of indicators among member hospitals and paediatric units of similar size and capacity. Benchmarking with peers is a valuable tool for health services seeking to assess the quality, safety and efficiency of the care they provide to young people. It provides information that might not otherwise be apparent at the service level in helping members to identify their strengths, and opportunities for improvement;
  • Facilitating networking and information sharing among members on a wide range of issues of common interest – CHA makes it possible for like-minded professionals and service managers to easily connect with one another. Our members have exclusive access to Networking Groups that allow them to communicate with their peers throughout Australasia. These networks communicate online, via teleconference, and at annual face to face events.  Participation enables members to share experiences, resources and tools and to provide support to one another on common issues, challenges and triumphs;
  • Online networking & sharing of innovations:  CHA members generously share ideas, advice, resources, images, videos, tools and other resources specific to maternal and newborn healthcare through our secure online Members Community;
  • high quality online and face-to-face events to review current evidence and share examples of best practice, and
  • advocacy to governments on issues of concern to our members.

Fees

  • CHA Membership fees are proportional to the size of the Hospital/ Health Service/ Network based on annual number of pediatric separations for the previous financial year (ie all separations under 19 years old).
  • Our fees are per annum on a financial year basis.
  • Fees are outlined in the Members Prospectus
  • Joint CHA and WHA membership discount: 5% discount on fees (on-going) – Our sister organisation Women’s Healthcare Australasia (WHA), offers similar member benefits but with a focus on resources, collaboration and benchmarking for women’s hospitals and maternity units.
