Who is it for?
Paediatricians, nurses, and quality & safety experts interested in discussing clinical benchmarking data, research insights and clinical practice issues with a view to improving the safety and quality of care provided to children and young people.
- Sharing learning in the development of tools to assist with the recognition and response to acute mental deterioration in general wards
- Patient Transfer & Safe Handover – identifying system issues related to patient transfer & safe handover and strategies to improve through active engagement with Consumer Representatives
- Innovative programs to create a culture of safety including – Learning from Excellence at Royal Hobart Hospital, the One ED program at the Gold Coast University Hospital, and new Clinical Incident Investigation approaches at several member services focusing on ‘what goes right’ and what we can learn from that
- Tackling Sepsis in Australia – Improving Awareness, Early Recognition and Management of Sepsis
