Individual Medal of Distinction Recipient

We are delighted to announce that the recipient of the 2025 CHA Individual Medal of Distinction Award is Sophie Sennar – Medication Safety Nurse Consultant, Women’s and Children’s Health Network, SA. 

In recognition of your exceptional leadership, expertise, and advocacy in advancing paediatric safety and nursing practice at both local and national levels through the implementation of transformative clinical innovations.

Local/Community Medal of Distinction Recipient

We are delighted to announce that the recipient of the 2025 CHA Local Community Medal of Distinction Award is Working Together for Kids ProgramWerribee Mercy Hospital, VIC. 

In recognition of the exceptional contributions by the Werribee Mercy’s Working Together for Kids program towards enabling holistic, high quality, and coordinated care, significantly improving access and outcomes for children and young people. 

Teams Medal of Distinction Recipient

We are delighted to announce that the recipient of the 2025 CHA Team Medal of Distinction Award is ISAID Program – Royal Children’s Hospital, VIC.

In recognition of the ISAID program’s exceptional contribution towards improving the outcomes and experiences of young people experiencing behaviours of concern, through evidence-based and trauma-informed care. 

Sustainability Medal of Distinction Recipient​

We are delighted to announce that the recipient of the 2025 CHA Sustainability Medal of Distinction Award is Justine Parsons Clinical Nurse Consultant NICU, John Hunter Children’s Hospital, NSW.

In recognition of your outstanding leadership in driving innovative and impactful recycling initiatives within your NICU, leading to a reduced carbon footprint and a culture of sustainability, engagement and accountability amongst staff and families. 

CHA would also like to recognise the outstanding contributions to child health made by the individuals and teams nominated for this award. Their commitment to making a meaningful impact on children and their families goes above and beyond, inspiring not only their peers but the entire CHA community.
