Position for Head of Neonatal Services at Western Health Victoria

27 September 2018

Western Health in Victoria is actively recruiting for many roles but, a key role is for  Neonatal Services Head of Unit.  If you are a great leader, with innovative ideas, neonatal clinical experience and you want to be part of the establishment and opening of a brand new NICU and its expansion – then we want to talk to you!

Western Health is actively progressing all works associated with ensuring a safe and successful transition into the new Joan Kirner Women’s & Children’s Hospital (JKWCH) in May 2019.  This brand new 9 level purpose built women’s and children’s facility will ensure that women, families, children, babies and neonates will receive Best Care.

A hugely exciting aspect of this new build is that we will transition from a Level 5 to a Level 6 maternity Service and a Level 6A neonatal service.  The opening of a brand new NICU will enable care to be delivered to neonates in their local catchment and enable women and their babies to be kept together.  As the Western catchment grows, so too does demand, so too does opportunity.  With more than 5,600 babies born each year at Sunshine Hospital the importance of this new facility is key.  There are so many elements to getting this right, and a critical component of this process is ensuring we have the very best leadership and clinical teams.

If you are looking for a growing, exciting and values driven organisation to work for and an ability to lead a team in a new and innovative direction please give Adele Mollo, Divisional Director for Women's and Children's Services, a call on (03) 8345 0310.
