Members of CHA have access to a great range of valuable member services and benefits, including:

1. Advocacy services
CHA advocates to protect the interests of its members and makes regular representations to governments, the media and other key stakeholders. As members of CHA, you have the opportunity to inform all advocacy activities, and highlight areas that require advocacy.

2. CHA's Benchmarking Program
CHA offers members the opportunity to benchmark against other hospitals across Australia and New Zealand. Our benchmarking program includes the Dashboard Suite of Clinical Indicators and the Activity & Costing dataset. All participating members receive:

  • Print and digital copies of annual benchmarking reports
  • Reports that include trend and comparative data
  • Ongoing support from our Benchmarking team
  • Access to secure, on-line data portal for analysis of data
  • Evidence of benchmarking participation to assist with accreditation
  • Access to the CHA annual benchmarking workshop

2. Networking Opportunities
CHA facilitates a number of Special Interest Groups (SIGs) to enable members to network and share information and expertise with other members across Australia and New Zealand. Current Special Interest Groups include: Patient Safety & Quality, Special Care Nurseries, Executives of Nursing, Child & Adolescent Mental Health, Nurse Unit Managers, Paediatric Units, Paediatric Educators, Medication Safety and Patient & Family Centered Care.

3. Discount attendance at CHA Events
CHA hosts a number of professional development events each year, and membership gives you access to discounts of up to 30% for attendance and participation. CHA currently host a biennial conference, regular webinars, and one and two day forums on topics of interest to members. Upcoming events include; our benchmarking meeting in 17th May 2016, Our Medication Safety Face-to-face event in 28th & 29th July 2016, a 2 day Paediatric Unit meeting (27th & 28th Octomber 2016), and two meetings for our Patent Safety & Quality group (11th & 12th February) & 18th & 19th August 2016.

5. Access to information
As members of CHA, you will receive access to the Members Only section of our informative website. Here we provide a number of resources, including videos from past events and conferences, documents and policies shared by members and more! As members you will also receive our monthly e-news bulletins to keep you up to date with CHA activities, and informed about paediatric healthcare.
