Membership is open to any health service in Australia or New Zealand providing paediatric care. Our vision is to enhance the health and wellbeing of children and young people through supporting children's hospitals and health services to achieve excellence in clinical care. We strive to achieve this through:
- Identifying best practice through performance benchmarking among members
- Supporting the sharing of information & expertise on health service delivery & quality improvement through member networking
- Showcasing innovations that improve clinical outcomes for children & young people
- Advocacy to governments and other stakeholders on issues of common interest to members related to children’s healthcare

CHA is funded through membership fees contributed by members, together with supplementary funding from educational activities and corporate partners. It does not receive any direct government funding.
